With the return of The Walking Dead, I made these tasty mini steak limbs to chomp down on while feasting my eyes on the trials and tribulations of our forgotten heroes, antiheroes, villains and annoyances.
Zombie fingers can be made rather quickly and easily, which is important when you are in the midst of an apocalypse and running from zombies, or running to them on your television like I was.
Feeling adventurous or perhaps just hungry for some delicious meat… try out these extremities and set the mood for an end of the world as we know it evening with The Walking Dead.
Zombie Finger Anatomy:
1 ½ lbs steak meat, round steak or other steak cuts
1 egg
1 tablespoon water
1 cup coconut flour
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon chili powder
½ teaspoon salt
ghee or butter for cooking
Reanimation Process:
Put the steaks on ice for about twenty minutes tops in your freezer. Then, dissect the steak pieces into finger shaped pieces with your trusty hacking knife.
Combine the egg and water in one liquefied ingredient bowl, then the flour and seasoning in another solid waste bowl.
Dip the steak pieces one at a time in first the liquefied bowl, then the solid waste bowl.
Melting the ghee or butter in your pan, once melted add the zombie fingers to the pan cooking about 2 to 3 minutes each side.
When finished, set aside briefly let cool.
To plate your dead walker fingers, arrange as would find stray appendages in your apocalyptic world and add ketchup to the tips of each finger as the zombie’s bloodied nails.
