Oh baby, Supernatural is nearly back on our small screens and we are ready to jump on the demon hunting bandwagon again with our favorite wayward sons. To ring in the new season and great new adventures, we dare you to take a page from the brothers’ books and take a walk on the evil side with this devilish dish.

Demon leaders are just a chalice call away when lesser demons slit a throat but with this frighteningly bloody soup you will bring on the smoky darkness and black eyed fear needed for a truly supernatural experience.

The Ingredients
3 beets, skinned and diced
3 tomatoes, diced
½ onion diced
½ cup coconut milk
1teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon pepper
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 tablespoon olive oil

The Spell
Heat the oil in a cauldron, adding in first the onions, then the beets and tomatoes. Staining your fingers red adding ingredients to the mix is a normal reaction to the spell.

Next, add in the milk and seasonings, cooking until beets are soft. Prepare “Highway to Hell” by AC/DC on your music player but do not play yet.

Pour the contents into a food processor or blender. At this point, you must cackle or laugh devilishly as you make evil grinning faces at your concoction as this in an integral part of the spell’s success.

Next, transfer the blood soup back to your cauldron and heat to desired temperature, making sure soup is consistent and smooth.

Finally, play the spell’s activating song and pour the bloodied soup into your own chalice and enjoy the demonic effects of the strong and bloody vegetables in your very own demon summoning ritual. But remember, you can never trust a demon, so be on guard.

“The other day I met this man. A nice guy, you know? And we had a really good chat, sort of like this. Then I slit his throat and ripped his heart out through his chest. Does that make me a bad person?”

Well, Meg we shall let the angels decide your fate but really, the heart ripping, throat slitting, all just to make a quick demon call, probably do make you a truly bad person, but hey, we loved you like that.
